Business License Application Procedures for Technology Institutes and Hi-tech Enterprises

Qualification
Ministerial Technology Institutes and major Municipal Technology Institutes can acquire the license only if they submit application. Other Technology Institutes must have annual turnover above RMB3,000,000.

Hi-tech Enteprises verified by the State Hi-tech Industry Development Zone must have annual turnover of more than RMB30,000,000; Hi-tech Enterprises verified by the provincial Technology Commission must have annual turnover of more than RMB10,000,000.

Procedure

  1. 1. Technology Institute and Hi-tech Enterprise submit application to the local Foreign Economics & Trade Commission and the Science & Technology Commission;
    2. The two commissions check the application, then report to the MOFTEC and the Ministry of Science and Technology(MST) respectively;
    3. The MST recommend the applicant to the MOFTEC;
    4. The MOFTEC approve the application and issue approval document to the applicant.
