APPLICATION FOR IMPORT LICENSE
The importer should apply for "Import License" for
the goods under import licensing management.
Documents Required:
- "Application for Import License" filled out
fully and clearly and endorsed with applicant's company
stamp;
- Certificate of the applicant or ID card of the person
in charge. An agent should present "Letter of Authorization"
issued by the applicant;
- If the applicant is not entitled to be engaged in international
business, he must present the certificate issued by his
superior organization;
- If it's the first time for the applicant, he must present
"Certificate of Approval" issued by local Foreign
Economics & Trade Commission and his "Business
License"(copy) for the institute to keep file;
- If it's the first time for a joint venture to apply
for "Import License", he must present "Certificate
of Approval" issued by local government for his establishment
and his "Business License"(copy).

If the importer wants to modify any content of the "Import
License", he should fill in "Application for Modification
to Import License" within license validity and hand in the
application with the original license to the authorized institute.
If the importer wants to modify name of importer, consignee, name
of commodity, specifications and quantity in the license, he must
apply for a new "Import License".
If the "Import License" will soon expire and the importer
needs an extension, he should fill in an application form and present
the import contract. The authorized institute may grant an extension
as long as six months, and no more extension will be offered for
the same license. If the importer has not signed import contract,
he won't be able to obtain an extension.
If the "Import License" was lost, the applicant should
declare to the issuing party and the Customs office immediately
and wait for the final decision of the issuing party. |
